21st Certificate Course in Ornithology takes to wings on 4th January 2025. Team Ela’s tireless efforts, under the guidance of our dedicated director Dr Satish Pande, continued for more than 2 decades. Ela Foundation plays a vital role in popularising the mesmerizing world of birds.

Dr. Satish Pande receives the Bharat Ratna Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Award for his exemplary work in human medicine and Wildlife care.
Award given to Dr Suruchi Pande by the Indian Council of Social Science Research, Delhi (ICSSR), and Springer Nature for her extraordinary contributions towards literature writing on Ethno-biology. The award was presented to her on 3rd October 2024 at the prestigious Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI), Pune.
Birds of Bhopal was published by The Nature Volunteers (Indore) at Bhopal in August 2024. The book was produced in collaboration with Ela Foundation, Pune. It is a coffee table book authored by Dr. Satish Pande, Abhilash Khandekar and Pramod Deshpande. A smaller field guide version of this book is also published. Dr Satish Pande delivered the “10th B G Walimbe Memorial Lecture” for The Institution of Engineers, Pune chapter, on “Technology for Nature Conservation”, and humbly dedicated it to Late Shri. Anant Gokhale, Ela Foundation’s Head, Research who tirelessly worked for technology advancement of Ela Foundation. This lecture was delivered on 26th October 2024.
